After learning how to create my own clothes, studying fashion design and interning with independent fashion brands that beam positivity and empowerment, I saw a picture of Kate Nash oozing confidence wearing an outfit I'd worked on.

This made me realise how much I love creating clothes that make people feel good about themselves. And when my university tutor described my final collection as 'borderline tacky', I knew I had to make it my brand name one day.

Borderline Tacky was born in 2020 and everything is designed, cut out, handmade and packaged up in Newcastle upon Tyne - either by myself or Alex, the most wonderful seamstress.
